What is Drinking Around the World?
Drinking Around the World in is exactly what it sounds like—grabbing a drink from each of the 11 country pavilions in Disney’s Epcot World Showcase. It’s all about having fun, trying new flavors, and making memories. But trust me, you’ll want to go in with a game plan so you can enjoy every sip without going overboard!
Tips for a Fun (and Safe) Experience
- Pace Yourself – 11 drinks is no joke! Spread them out through the day and take it slow.
- Snack Along the Way – You’re gonna want some fuel for this journey, and Epcot has some of the best snacks to pair with your drinks.
- Share the Love – Not feeling up for 11 drinks solo? Grab a friend and split some to sample more without overdoing it. This way, you’ll still be able to enjoy the spinning attractions without actually spinning yourself! This is what I always do.
- Start Early – The World Showcase usually opens at 11 AM, later than the rest of the park, and it also closes earlier. Getting a head start lets you enjoy at a relaxed pace without running out of time. Similar to “calories don’t count at Disney”, Neither does drinking before noon!
- Start in Mexico – Trust me, you don’t want to end your night with a strong, tequila-heavy margarita! Starting in Mexico lets you ease into the experience and finish with something lighter in Canada.
- Stay Hydrated – Alternate drinks with water, and maybe even throw in a Powerade. Your future self will thank you. All quick service locations (so not the carts) will give out free ice water.
- Know Your Limits – Most importantly, drink responsibly and listen to your body!
Best Drinks in Each Pavilion
Here’s a look at some of the most iconic drinks to try as you make your way around the world:
1. Drink Number 1: Mexico (Don’t Even Think About Starting in Canada!)
- Must-Try: Avocado Margarita from La Cava del Tequila ($19.50)
- It’s creamy, refreshing, and an absolute must-have for your first time drinking around the world! You can find it inside the pyramid at La Cava del Tequila. After your drink, hop on the Grand Fiesta Tour Boat Ride—a very calm, slow ride starring the Three Caballeros.
Note: They will not allow you to bring your drink on the ride! I learned this the hard way.
- If Truly authentic avocado flavor isn’t your thing, head over to Choza de Margarita—just to the left when you enter Mexico. If you’re looking at the pyramid, it’ll be tucked slightly away in a corner. They serve delicious fruit-flavored margaritas, including strawberry ($14.75, my go-to, because I’m a basic girly), mango ($14.25), and lime ($14.25). Want to taste all three? Ask for a Fiesta ($15), and you’ll get a beautifully layered drink with all the flavors in one!

Drink Number 2: Norway
- Must-Try: Viking Coffee – A heavenly mix of Baileys, Kamora coffee liqueur, and coffee. Find it at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe, the cute bakery on your left when facing Frozen Ever After.
- or hot? That depends on the time of year! On a cool day, grab it hot ($15,50). If the Florida sun is blazing, go for iced ($16). My go-to is iced, personally I think the hot version tastes slightly- burnt?
Note: You CAN take this drink with you in line, and unlike the Grand Fiesta Boat ride, this ride 99.9% of the time as a wait-time over 30+ minutes. So, grab the drink and hop in line!

Drink Number 3: China
- Must-Try: Tipsy Ducks in Love ($14.50) – Bourbon, coffee, tea, and chocolate. It’s like an iced mocha with a kick. My husband’s favorite. However, if you’re like me- bourbon generally is a no-go. I stay away from brown liquor!
- Not a bourbon fan? No worries! Try the Dragon Butterfly ($15), a fantastic, sweet option with unique popping boba. The little bursts of flavor make it so fun to drink, and honestly, it’s always my go-to in China.
- These drinks can be found as soon as you walk into the country at Joy of Tea, look across from the main China pavilion—you’ll see the stand serving up both drinks.
Unlike the previous two countries, this one doesn’t really have an attraction. It has a short show you can watch, which screens every 12 minutes directly across from where you’ll get your drink. If watching the show doesn’t float your boat- check out the shops. Located back behind the theater.
Drink Number 4: Germany
- Must-Try: Schöfferhofer Grapefruit Beer ($11.75)- Light, citrusy, and super refreshing (even non-beer drinkers like myself love this one). Find this inside the quick service location.
- While I’m in Germany, I typically grab a small bite to eat. They do have a full-service restaurant, and this one normally does have reservations left, or right next to it, there’s “Sommerfest”– which is a quick-service location version of the restaurant. This is where I typically go since it’s a little tricky to predict when exactly you’ll be on your way to Germany when drinking around the world.
- The quick service location doesn’t have too many options. A traditional Bratwurst, Pretzel bread pudding, and a Jumbo pretzel. These are all great bread-heavy options, perfect for your challenge. My go to is the pretzel, just keep in mind it doesn’t come with any sort of cheese. Just mustard.
- Don’t feel like eating anything heavy? Check out their bakery. Full of absolutely delicious, and primarily caramel based treats. Located right before both of the restaurants.
Unfortunately, after Norway, the attractions in the countries become slim until France. Spend your time exploring the unique shops with merchandise that you won’t be able to find anywhere on property other than the world showcase, trying snacks from each of the countries, and watching unique shows a handful of the countries when you are “drinking around the world” showcase.

Drink Number 5: Italy
- Must-Try: Italian Margarita ($12)– A margarita, but make it Italian with a limoncello twist. Absolutely delicious! You’ll find this one towards the end of the country, past all the restaurants and shops at Gelateria Toscana. Based on the name, you can probably guess, at this spot you’ll be able to try classic, authentic Italian gelati. Comes in a variety of flavors and honestly is pretty good.
Drink Number 6: America
- Must-Try: Frozen Black Cherry Lemonade ($15.50)– This one is a game-changer. Once you mix it all together, it’s seriously good—sweet, tart, and super refreshing. I know I said earlier I try to stay away from brown liquor- but this is a small exception. It’s seriously SO good. Located right when you enter the American Pavilion. The first thing you’ll see in the country, Fife & Drum Tavern.
This is the half way point in the drinking around the world challenge where I’m definitely feeling all the drinks a tad bit- consider taking break at the Garden Theater. Throughout the day there’s different shows playing here. It’s basically generic outdoor theater. Live music typically plays here. Check the times on your My Disney Experience app.
If nothing is going on at the theater, check out the Voices of Liberty. It’s a show that plays every 45 minutes- last show starts at 3:45.
Drink Number 7: Japan
- Must-Try: Violet Sake from Garden House. A floral, fruity sake-based cocktail with the prettiest purple hue. This drink is so beautiful!
- If you’re lucky enough to be attending during a festival, definitely check out the Sake Trio- only available during festivals. This trio flight gives you a taste of three different sakes. It’s the perfect way to explore Japan’s finest liquors!

Drink Number 8: Morocco
- Must-try: Frozen Mint Tea ($16)- This drink is cool, refreshing, and because of the relatively low alcohol content, perfect for pacing yourself. This drink is available at Oasis Sweets & Sips. If you have a reservation inside Spice Road Table, Morocco’s restaurant, you’ll also be able to find this drink there.
- This is also a perfect location to watch the firework show- as it’s located directly on the water- although i’ll admit, It’s VERY expensive. It does come with a good amount of food- and not that you’ll need it, unlimited drinks. We did this for my husband’s birthday a couple years back, and it was definitely a neat experience.
Drink Number 9: France
- Must-Try: Grand Marnier Orange Slush (14.95) from Les Vins des Chefs de France– A boozy, citrusy frozen drink that’s absolutely perfect for sipping while strolling through the streets of France. This one is located in the middle of the country, against the fence on the left hand side, across from Chefs de France. This also comes in a fun cup!
Finally, another ride! This has the new Ratatouille ride! Definitely don’t miss this. It’s a super fun way to cool down and experience the magic of Paris through Remy’s eyes. The ride is tucked in the very back- separate from the main France pavilion. This line gets rather long as well.

Drink Number 10: United Kingdom
- Must Try: Welsh Dragon ($13.50)- A sweet, fruity drink with hints of melon and an assortment of tropical juices. This one is SO good! Located inside Rose & Crown Pub.
This county also has beer carts throughout. Beer is really popular throughout the UK and Ireland. My husband has tried a handful of beers here and has no complaints about any of them.
ally I am not a fan of any seafood, like at all. But I’m going to mention it here cause it’s THAT good. The Fish n’ Chips from the Yorkshire County Fish Shop are delicious. They’re hand battered with house made beer batter, perfectly flakey, crispy and seasoned.
Finally, Drink number 11: Canada
- Must-Try: Ottawa Apple ($14.50)- again, an exception to my dislike of whiskey! A tasty blend of Crown Royal whisky, maple, and cranberry. Sweet, strong, and oh-so-Canadian. This is located at the maple popcorn cart in the middle of Canada.

Final Thoughts: You Did It! (Or at Least Tried…)
Another quick tip is to bring a portable charger! You’ll likely spend a good amount of time checking out menus, using the park map on your My Disney Experience app, and taking pictures. Disney does offer fuel rods for rent, but they’re honestly pretty expensive and the battery barely gets you a full charge.
This charger from Amazon is my families go to because it’s ability to plug directly into the wall for charging, the battery life, and it’s seriously SO thin that it will fit almost anywhere. It’s also very affordable. But with that being said, there’s so many good options, find one that fits you and your families needs.
Whether you drank around the world at all 11 countries, or tapped out halfway through, drinking Around the World is all about the experience. The drinks are great, but the real magic is in the memories, the laughs, and the ridiculous photos you’ll have by the end of the night. So, raise your glass, toast to an epic day, and tell me—what was your favorite drink? Drop a comment below and let’s talk Epcot cocktails!
Cheers, friend! See you at the next round.
